Training for Industry

We train staff working on water margin projects, help with risk assessment, control measures, rescue and method statements.

Courses can be designed specifically around your requirements or one of the following certificated programmes from Rescue 3:

Safe Working Near Water (3 hours min, often extended to a full day )

Currently our most popular course for industrial clients.

A classroom-based course exploring the hazards and risk associated with inland and coastal water. It looks at basic control measures and safe working practices that can be introduced, including types of PPE and their use. Designed for industry, civil engineering, and other workers operating near water.

Often extended to a full days training to include basic experience of rescuing colleagues from the water.

Life Jacket Competent User (1 day)

For personnel who operate adjacent to the water at rescue incidents and those who will operate near water as part of their key job function, eg construction workers, EA water hydrometry staff etc. As such, it is not intended that they will enter the water, and a manual or auto inflation lifejacket is worn as PPE for protection.

Co Worker Rescue From Water – Basic (2 days)

Providers the knowledge and techniques to provide bank-based rescue cover for colleagues working next to basic water environments (eg small lakes, canals, sheltered harbours, and marinas where use of a powered safety boat is not required).

Co Worker Rescue From Water – Moving Water (3 days)

This course providers the knowledge and techniques to allow employees to provide bank-based rescue cover for their colleagues working next to moving water (inland rivers, confined tidal flows) where use of a powered safety boat is not required.
